南澳竹林寺谨定于2020年4月5日（农历三月初一）星期日上午9时起，举办“清明孝亲，冥阳两利，疫情平息，人民安乐”，恭诵《金刚般若波罗密经》法会，届时将由本寺住持戒文法师带领其他法师一起恭诵《金刚般若波罗密经》，为历代祖师、祖先、历生父母、累劫冤亲债主超度，并以此功德回向世界和平，消除时疫，国泰民安，风调雨顺，正法久住；也回向我们所有的善心善愿像阳光一样、像春风一样遍洒大地，让天下万物都能各得其长。
因配合疫情防控，本寺依旧不对外开放，法会将由寺院法师按仪轨在竹林寺Facebook页现场直播完成，如您有何需求，可致电本寺，如有不便，敬请理解，阿弥陀佛！
“QingMing Remembrance of Ancestors, Prayers for The Wellbeing of All People and Eradication of the Coronavirus” Ceremony
Qingming Festival is a day celebrated in China to remember and honour the ancestors and beloved departed ones. It has become a way of expression of filial piety and a time for reflection of past deeds for the living, and is now being observed by the Chinese nation worldwide.
The SA Zhu-Lin Buddhist Association will be performing a “QingMing Remembrance of Ancestors, Prayers of The Wellbeing of All People and Eradication of the Coronavirus” Ceremony on the 5th April 2020, Sunday, 9am. The members of sangha led by the Abbot Venerable Jie Wen, will be reciting the “Vajra Prajna Paramita Sutra” (also known as “The Diamond Sutra”) to help our ancestors, parents and kinfolks in life after life, our karmic creditors, to be alleviated from woeful states. We then transfer the merits to the eradication of the virus, to world peace, and for proper Dhamma to dwell long. May our good wishes reach far and wide like the sun and spring breeze, to nourish all life on the planet.
We will continue to follow government’s advice of social distancing and limit gathering, hence the temple will remain close for the time being. The Venerables will be conducting the ceremony remotely and it will be recorded live on Zhu-Lin Temple’s facebook page. We would like to encourage you to pray along with the Venerables while you are at home.
