The Wondai Hotel, first opened in 1905, is a beautiful icon of Australian history. Still looking like it did when it was built in the heart of Wondai, it is directly opposite the South Burnett "Rail Trail" connecting Wondai to Murgon and Kingaroy. The hotel and grounds are on half an acre, fully fenced with a children's playground. From here visitors can enjoy the Wineries and other attractions of the South Burnett. Even fishing at the nearby Boondoomba dam. With a family ethic, clean and comfy family rooms and classic doubles (with ensuites) are available for short term stays. Meals available in the Restaurant, the Beer Garden, and counter meals served at the bar. Regular live music and spit roast barbeque events are very popular with travellers and locals.
