About Us

The Queensland Section of the Dingo Barrier Fence is 2500 kilometres long. It was commenced in 1948 as a means of managing the impacts of dingoes and wild dogs on the sheep industry. The Queensland fence joins at the point where the three states of Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia meet known as Cameron Corner. The Dingo Fence is the longest fence in the world. It stretches from Jimbour on the Darling Downs and ends west of Eyre Peninsular on the cliffs of the Nullarbor Plains. It is approximately 5300 kilometres long. It can be viewed eight kilometres north west of Injune on the Womblebank Gap Road.
