About Us

The Quirindi Rural Heritage Village showcases the development of rural Australia and the rich farming district of the Liverpool Plains in particular. Peruse its 2,000 plus exhibits; from Aboriginal artefacts through to the explorer's early settlers, it demonstrates the trials and tribulations faced by the pioneers of this vast country. Household items (particularly kitchenalia and lacework) and craft of bygone eras, tools, cameras, restored buggies, tractors, steam engines, stationery motors, threshing machines, and lawnmowers are all on display. Butcher, dairy, bakery, milk bar and demonstrative rooms, historic loom, unique model tram set. View machinery sheds, the blacksmith's shop, Church, or take a ride on the 1200 metre miniature railway, which can be booked for birthdays and social occasions. There is also an excellent coffee shop. The annual machinery enthusiasts rally and swap meet is held on the first weekend in May. School/social groups are welcome. Disabled toilet facilities are available.
