MOUNT LOFTY SUMMIT

The Peramangk people of the Adelaide Hills referred to the 'two ears' - Yurrebilla - of the Mount Lofty Ranges. You're standing on one of them (the other is Mount Bonython to the north), the tallest peak in the ranges at 710m. This must-do vantage point offers a peerless view over the city and, on a clear day, across the Gulf to Kangaroo Island and Yorke Penisula.

Hang around for sunset and view gets even more spectacular as the sun dips and the city's twinkling lights come out to play. It also offers beautiful walking trails to Cleland Wildlife Park, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden and sublime Piccadilly Valley. If you've hiked up Waterfall Gully or cycled to get here, a pat on the back is in order too!

FAST FACTS!
