SILVER SANDS

Silver Sands is part of a 6km stretch of white sandy beach that includes Sellicks Beach to the south and Aldinga Beach to the north. This popular stretch of coastline is one of only a few places in South Australia where vehicles are able to drive onto the beach. The beach is known for its flat waters, ideal for those beginning in body boarding, surfing, stand up paddle boarding and swimming. The area is known among the Kaurna Miyurna people as “Ngaltingga” said to mean ‘open, wide’.
